Diagnostics and Treatment

When your pet is sick or injured, they can’t tell us what’s wrong. A thorough physical exam and history (symptoms you’ve noted at home) are the first important steps. If the diagnosis is not immediately evident upon initial assessment, your veterinarian will recommend specific diagnostic tests. These may include:

In-House Diagnotics

Comprehensive bloodwork, urinalysis, cytologies(tumors, skin and ear infections, fecal smears), and stat fecal analysis for GI parasites.

Reference Lab Diagnostics

Biopsies, cultures, complex blood, urine, and fecal tests. Routine panel combinations that include bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal analysis at reduced pricing for cases that are not urgent.

Diagnostic Imaging

Digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy. We can also obtain specialist consultation/review of the images when needed.

Hospitalization

IV fluids, medications, monitoring. If patients need overnight care and monitoring we recommend transferring your pet to a 24-hr care facility.
